She Did It!!

Today, I am beyond thrilled to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone in the life of one of my past senior portrait clients, Regina Deason.

Eight years ago, I had the honor of photographing a bright and passionate high school senior who dreamed of making a difference. Today, that dream has come full circle—she passed the Bar Exam and is now a practicing attorney! 🎉

I still remember her enthusiasm when she shared her plans after graduation—how she hoped to attend college and eventually branch into family law. Fast forward to today, and she’s done exactly that! Her dedication and hard work have turned her dreams into a reality, and I couldn't be more proud of her.

I can’t help but smile when I think back to her senior questionnaire, where she shared so much of her heart. As a high school senior, she was Miss Jubilee, the president of Meet In the Middle, and a devoted volunteer throughout the city. She was always determined to make a positive impact, and it's clear that desire to help others hasn’t wavered.

What I loved most, though, was her response to, "What do you want to do with your life?" Regina said:
"I want to make a difference in people's lives. I don't mind how I end up doing it, I just want to impact positively. I want to live, laugh, and love!"
And today, as she begins her career as an attorney, I know she’s doing just that.

From the "Meet In the Middle" room, where she found comfort, to her love of Reese’s and Sour candies, her heart, soul, and ambitions have always been clear. And though we had a laugh about her lack of coordination (her words, not mine!), it was clear she was always destined for greatness.

Congratulations, Counselor! Your determination and heart have always been your strongest assets, and I have no doubt you’ll make an incredible attorney. I’m so honored to have captured a moment in your journey, and I can’t wait to see the difference you’ll make in this world. Keep living, laughing, and loving—you're doing amazing things!

With so much pride and love,
Leah

Here’s a look back at a few of my favorite images from Regina’s senior session, as well as a headshot from just a couple years ago. :D
